[FCIX] Sold out of 10G ports! & NANOG

Greetings!

We had a bit of a run on FCIX ports this week, so we ran out of 10G
ports on the FMT2 peering switch this morning, which was a little
sooner than I planned. (We're also down to only 4 1G ports!)

But fear not, for Flexoptix (and Minnesota VoIP) have already
generously provided us additional trays of optics, and Arista has
provided us with an additional 7050-64S switch and a QSFP+ DAC cable
to add a second switch to FMT2! Thanks again to all our awesome
sponsors!

I plan to have a maintenance window next month after I get back from
NANOG to install the second switch, and move all of the 1G peers onto
that second switch. This maintenance window will also disrupt the
route servers, so if you're depending solely on the route servers for
prefixes, I'd encourage you to set up direct peering sessions with
your most valuable peers to reduce the impact of this maintenance.
More details and a specific timeline will be posted once I have it.

Speaking of NANOG! I'm currently sitting in an airport trying to get
to Austin, so if you happen to also be going to NANOG77, I have
limited edition not-available-in-the-lobby FCIX stickers I'll be
handing out, so come find me during the conference!

These are much nicer stickers than the ones we got before (thumbs up
for http://www.stickittomebuttons.com/stickittomestickers/ ), and we
will also be distributing FCIX refrigerator magnets to FCIX member's
cabinets next time I drop by FMT2. These were made possible by all of
you being so generous during our last ARIN fee fund raiser, which left
us with additional funds to cover these costs of FCIX advertising and
swag. Thanks again; you're all what make the Cabal possible!
